The Arts
Council of Calvert County is one of 24 county arts councils in
the state of Maryland. Each of the arts councils is the entity
by which the state provides funding to the counties for the
arts. The Arts Council grants $20,000 - $25,000 each year,
based on criteria established by the state. The Council also
offers technical assistance to artists and arts groups through
a comprehensive artist directory, networking opportunities,
information on grants, and grant writing assistance. We
include county arts organization’s event fliers in our
information packets and display them at our booth, which is
featured at a number of popular events throughout the year. |
